How to Make Valentine's Bugs.
A memorable Valentine Card with a sweet treat inside.

Supplies needed to make your Valentine's Bugs.
  1. Colored construction paper.  We used Red and Pink. (8 1/2 X 11)
  2. Scissors.
  3. Hole Puncher.
  4. Fuzzy Sticks.
  5. Glue.
  6. Stickers for the nose.
  7. Candy.  We use BRACH'S Tiny Conversation Hearts.

The whole pattern fits on 1 sheet of 8 1/2 X 11 piece of paper.

Ok, test run on printing the image out.  With me even selecting to fit to page the measurements are coming out wrong on the print out.  I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, it was my hope that you could just print the pattern out and get busy.

In the video we do show you how to draft your own pattern.

Instructions:

  1. Cut out parts
  2. On the body punch the holes for the legs 1" apart.
  3. Fold the top 3" part over onto the 6" part of the body.
  4. Fold over the sides of the body to form envelope.
  5. Fold over the small flap at top away from the folded sides.
  6. Glue head to small flap.
  7. Punch two holes in the glued head for antenna.
  8. Insert a Fuzzy Stick in the head holes.  Twist to tie.
  9. Insert Fuzzy Sticks in leg holes and Twist to Tie.
  10. Fill envelop with candy then seal with Nose Sticker.
Done.
