Your steps to starting a Business.(Part 2-2)

We already talked about how a business, either sales products or services, and where to get an idea for a business. We talked about fears first time buisness owners have.

So I will assume, your ready for the next step. A Business Plan.

This is where you start putting your idea for a business to paper. Your giving birth to your business idea. LUCKY, for you it's way less painful then giving actual birth to a child.
Lucky for me, I found http://www.bplans.com/

My Business Plans have always been simple, and I've never used my Business Plans to seek out investors other then my father. So I've spent serval hours searching and visiting a lot of different web sites. I've booked marked and spent even more time looking http://www.bplans.com/ over for my own personal gain.

http://www.bplans.com/ is a wealth of knowledge for someone that is on the path to starting their own Business.

I give them a 3 links mention in my blog, and a 10 Toes Vote.

So I'm off to find my What's Next? Subject.

Your steps to starting a Business.(Part 2-1)

We already talked about how a business, either sales products or services, and where to get an idea for a business.

For someone starting a business for the first time there is an emotion phrase, that they tend to face. It's full of fears, and what if's.

They are like my daughter standing on the diving board at the deep end of a pool on the last day of our vaction. I can only imagine that as she stood on the board the first time she was thinking back to our first day of vacation and how we all discovered that the shallow end of the pool was over her head. I was already on the move to help my daughter by the time the other adults around us realized she was in trouble. I can remember seeing the fear in her eyes as I scooped her up to sit on my hip. I smiled at her as I told her how proud I was of her, but that hadn't been how I planned for her to learn how to swim. We put a swimming vest on her and she being the dare devil she is, was quickly back in the water with her brother and the other kids. The Diving Board did make her pause and back away three different times before she acutally jumped into the deep end of the pool.

All I could do to help my daughter face her fears of the deep end of the pool was to be in the water on the deep side, ready to come to her aid if she needed me once she jumped.

It's been so long ago since I started my first business that I don't remember what my fears were. What are your fears? Are you willing to share your fears?

Your steps to starting a Business.

Because of the internet, these days getting a business started is just as easy as putting a pot of water on the stove.

Nothing is going to happen to that pot of water unless you add heat. The same applies to your business.

A business (pot of water) takes at least a year of you adding heat before you will start to see bubbles. Excepting faster results because it's an online business is setting yourself, up to fail.

Boiling any business down to it's core you find they are either selling a product or service. If you boil a business down and don't find that they are selling a product or service then it's a very good chance that it's a scam.

My blog falls under services. My online store falls under products.

Because of the internet, there is a lot of new types of services, and a lot of new ways for scammers to scam a person. They are still called Con-men.(They are not just men, there are women as well. They are really good sales-people.) Someone just starting a business for the first time makes easy prey for Con-men.

Ok, I've warned you about Con-men, I've discussed products and services with you, and I've hopefully put your mind to a realistic time frame.

Your finding this blog entry means your still in the research phrase of starting a business. There are many steps one has to go through before they actually Start a business. Your doing research raises the odds of your succeeding in becoming a successful business person.

The first stage is an idea for a business. You have to decided if your idea is a product or service.

If you came here looking for an idea for a business then I suggest you look at your skills and knowledge. Starting a business based on your skills and knowledge means you won't be so easily taken in by a Con-man.

Next post will be Friday at 6pm central standard time.

About Me- Petina May Blackbird Chambler-Phelps

I grew up in a self employed family, my father was a large house hold appliance repair man.
My first business was a lemonade stand on the court house lawn, I was maybe six or seven.
At twelve I sold homemade hard candy suckers to my class mates.
At thirteen we moved into the country and I was in charge of the family fruit stand.
At fourteen we added a firework stand.
At fifteen we added snow cones.
Then the late 1990's the price fell on oil and many people including my father went looking for work in the bigger cities.
I was Assistant Apartment Manger under my mother, while my father worked for the Management Company as a repair man. The Management Company moved us around a lot, cause we specialized. We were what you would call fixers. We moved into the ran down apartments and built them back up and had them out of the red and back into the black under a year. The owner's wife of the Mangagement Company died, and his son didn't want to take over the business so he retired closing the business down.
It was then I got my first job working for someone that wasn't family. I took an after school job taking care of a kennel of dogs.
I got a sales job for a company that focused on selling items to the employees in businesses. I got in a car wreck the first day of working on my own. It was two weeks before my 19th birthday.
Dad moved us back to Sulphur, Oklahoma not long after I was released from the hospital.
My uncle talked my dad into starting a rabbit business. The guy that was suppose to buy the rabbits didn't show. So I started selling dressed rabbits around town. That is how I meet my husband.
I married him and became a house wife. In 1999, I became a mother of my son, in 2004 I became a mother to my baby girl.
I'm not sure about dates but I opened an Ebay store selling old paperback books sometime between 1999 and 2004 to bring in some extra money, but I didn't keep it up.
2014 opened an online Designer T-shirt and nick nack store, called What's Next? The Future.

How to make money doing online surveys.

I personally hadn't planned on doing anything with online surveys myself. Around ten years ago, I did do some online surveys, so I know they work and I know the trick is weeding out the scams and finding the ones that will acutally pay you money. I just didn't want to waste my time, since I'm not really hurting for money, but my father said something to me that got me thinking. What if I didn't have my supportive parents to help me at this cross roads of my life? I would be in a total mess trying to find ways to bring some money in to pay the bills and put food in my kids mouths. So the question popped in my head.

Just how long would it take for a person to make some money doing surveys?

1. Email address.

Treat the online surveys like a job, have an email account that is just for surveys. To make more then just a couple bucks your going to have to sign up with more then one. There is a lot of sites online that offers free email.

2. PayPal Account.

Is a helpful tool that a person's needs if they are trying to do any type of business online. If you don't already have an account with them yet, it's no biggie for someone just starting out. It just means that it will take longer for you to get paid.

3. Requirements.

The ones I found all requried you to be at least 18yrs old and a u.s.a. citizen.

4. Some personal Opinions.

Your not going to get rich doing online surveys, it is possible to make some good pocket change doing online surveys.

If you are someone who is in a total uproar trying to find ways to make some money cause you got bills to pay and kids to feed, then I personal suggest grabbing a trash bag and start picking up aluminum cans. On average in Oklahoma, an aluminum can is worth $.02 a can. In bigger cities they are worth a little more per can. The best time to go out picking up cans in Oklahoma is Sunday. The Friday and Saturday night drinkers have tossed out their beer cans, or sell something on Ebay.

If you have facebook and you don't want to sell on Ebay then you can try the group on facebook. https://www.facebook.com/groups/sme2013/ or try Craig's List.

If you are someone who is in a total panic trying to find ways to make some money then you really don't have the free time to do online surveys.

Online surveys is for someone who wants to just make some extra cash.

5. Online Surveys.

Vindale Research. http://tryvindale.com/VlA4Y8Uq

You have to start somewhere, and out of all the ones I signed up for I find that I like the fact they don't clutter their web pages with a lot of images, so you don't have to waste time waiting for their pages to load, and they have links to other trusted survey sites, which if you go through them to sign up for the others you will earn some money with them.
